FAQ





Is my journal secure?

Yes! Your entries are stored on our secure Google servers. We will never share your data with any third parties. All entries are processed in a fully automated fashion, so your entries will never been seen by human eyes (except yours). Check out our privacy policy for details.



Can I export my journal?

Yes! You can currently export your journal as a text file or a JSON. Simply email txt@journaljerk.com or json@journaljerk.com (the content doesn't matter). We'll send you the file as an email attachment. Exporting to PDF is currently in development. We'll email you when it's available (soon!).



Can I submit multiple entries on a given day?

Yes, but it still only counts as one day towards your goal. So, no, you can't meet your goal by sending in 7 entries on the last day of the week. Nice try.



Can I attach photos or other files to my entries?

No, JournalJerk is a fully text-based service (at the moment, anyway).



Are there refunds?

Um, no. The penalty wouldn't be much of a motivator if you could just get your money back. Sorry not sorry.



How do I unsubscribe?

Send an email to unsub@journaljerk.com. After you do that, we'll email you a secure unsubscribe link. Click that link, and you'll be unsubscribed. You'll still be able to download your entries.



How do I delete my account?

Send an email to deleteaccount@journaljerk.com. After you do that, we'll email you a secure account deletion link. Click that link, and your account will be deleted. You won't be able to download your entries!



Who made JournalJerk?

We're a two-person show at the moment. Check out the team page for some very sparse details.



Is my credit card info safe?

Yes! We use a service called Stripe to handle all our payments. They are fully PCI compliant. Your credit card number never touches our servers, nor is it stored in our database anywhere.
